PROS: The two free weekend passes to Planet Comic Con were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed ourselves very much and was a great deal. It's a busy con with a lot of people, but it was never crowded or unpleasant. We were only able to attend on one of the days, but we had a lot of fun.

CONS: Communication was very poor. The notification date was pushed several times until we were told about a week before the event that we had been accepted. DVDs were the only way to screen a film, so we had no time to send it through the mail and had to hand deliver it to the booth. One problem. After e-mailing back and forth trying to get all of our questions answered, we realized that they never gave us the booth number. We asked our friends who were also in the festival and they never got it either. We tried to ask staff members at the convention, but they had never heard of it before. So we finally just tried to text number we were given in the contact info and never got a response. We decided to shrug it off and actually enjoy our day at the convention. Chances are, our film was never actually screened because of this.

We did however receive a notification that we won an award. The only kicker is that we have no idea what for. SOME of the winners were announced on the Facebook page with a promise that the rest were soon to come, but it never happened. I left a comment on the photo a few weeks later inquiring about it, but unsurprisingly, it didn't get a response.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I think you guys have a really cool thing going here. I want to see this get bigger and better. I don't think I'll be submitting again, but for everyone else, communication needs to improve. At the end of the day, we still had a great time and we are extremely grateful, there is just some room for improvement next year.
