Director Statement

I'm super proud not just of the story we told, but about how we told it. We introduced five first-time Indigenous actors into the industry. We led Plaansh a Roo with an all-Indigenous creative team. We got new Indigenous crew some of their first roles in film. We got to do all of it in Winnipeg – the homeland of Métis, the only place I thought we could really tell this very Métis story about a kid and the fiddle tunes his mooshum taught him. Maarsi for watching!
