REGULATIONS
1. PINUS Festival, in collaboration with Casa de Liège, have launched the “PINUS SESSIONS”, an initiative with the objective to blend experimental cinema and music, which will take place in November 2024 at Casa de Liège in Pinheiros, São Paulo.
2. Pinus Sessions will accept films in the experimental genre.
3. Submissions for Pinus Sessions will be open until October 30.
4. Submissions will be accepted exclusively through the completion of the submission form available on the FilmFreeway platform.
5. A submission fee will be charged after August 31st 2024.
6. Films in foreign languages (except Portuguese) must have subtitles in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.
7. The curation process will include members of Casa de Liège and the Pinus Festival. The organization will determine the dates and times for the exhibition of selected films.
8. Pinus Sessions WILL NOT PAY SCREENING FEES TO SELECTED FILMS.
9. Selected films must be provided in digital formats (.MOV/.MP4, H264 Codec/ 1920x1080p) and must be sent to the festival within seven days of the selection announcement. Selected films should be made available for download on the FilmFreeway platform or sent via a download link to the email address: pinushub@gmail.com.
10. Foreign language films must be submitted without embedded subtitles and accompanied by an English dialogue list (SRT FILE) within 7 days of selection notification, along with the film material. Subtitles should be separate from the film, meaning there will be two distinct files.
11. Pinus Sessions will announce the selection results on the Festival’s official Instagram page and directly via email throughout the year and curatorial process. The deadline may be extended if deemed necessary by the festival organizers.
12. The session will be in an exhibition-installation format, which may be presented with or without audio, and part of the film may include mapping, with VJs invited for projection. Sessions are open to the public and tickets are not reserved. Pinus Sessions is not responsible for any transportation or accommodation costs for filmmakers.
13. Pinus Sessions will not claim any intellectual or artistic property rights over the submitted works, with all rights remaining under the control of the authors, producers, and/or any other previous owners at the time of submission to the festival.
14. Pinus Sessions reserves the right to non-commercial screenings of any submitted film for one year from the submission date, subject to the agreement of the producers in the submission form. If filmmakers wish to make their film available in the festival’s database for non-commercial screenings, they may indicate this option when requested. If this option is not chosen, the film will automatically become part of this database.
15. Filmmakers agree that clips of up to 60 seconds and images from their films may be used in the festival’s promotional material. Additionally, images may be used as part of the exhibition-installation during the festival’s promotion on social media and other communication materials.
16. Participants are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions to participate in the festival and ensuring that no third-party rights involved in the film’s production are violated.
17. Participation in Pinus Sessions implies acceptance of these Regulations by all interested parties.
The call for national and international experimental films is open on the FilmFreeway platform and will be exclusively for this extra edition. For the 2024 session there will be a Canadian experimental film showcase, made possible through partnerships with the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC) and the Consulate General of Canada in São Paulo.

REGULAMENTO
1. Festival PINUS com Casa de Liège cria PINUS Sessions para dialogar cinema experimental com música, que acontecerá em novembro na Casa de Liège em Pinheiros, São Paulo.
2 .Pinus Sessions aceitará filmes de gênero experimental.
3 .Pinus Sessions terá suas inscrições contínuas até 30 de outubro.
4 .As inscrições serão recebidas exclusivamente através do preenchimento da ficha de inscrição disponível na plataforma FilmFreeway.
5. Uma taxa de inscrição será cobrada após 31 de agosto de 2024.
6. Os filmes em língua estrangeira (exceto português) devem ter legendas em português, inglês ou espanhol.
7. A curadoria faz parte de membros da Casa de Liège e do Pinus Festival. Caberá à organização decidir as datas e horários dos filmes selecionados.
8. Pinus Sessions NÃO PAGA TAXA DE EXIBIÇÃO AOS FILMES SELECIONADOS.
9. Os filmes selecionados serão exibidos em arquivos digitais (.MOV/.MP4, Codec H264/ 1920x1080p), que deverão ser enviados ao festival até sete dias após o anúncio de seleção. Os filmes selecionados deverão ser disponibilizados seu download na plataforma FilmFreeway ou serem enviados por meio do link para download ao endereço de e-mail: pinushub@gmail.com
10. As cópias de exibição em língua estrangeira devem ser enviadas sem legendas fixas e acompanhadas da lista de diálogos em inglês (SRT FILE) até 7 dias após a notificação da seleção junto com o material fílmico. A legenda é separada do filme, são dois arquivos distintos.
11. Pinus Sessions divulgará os resultados da seleção na página oficial do Festival no Instagram e diretamente por e-mail ao longo do ano e da curadoria. O prazo será estendido caso organizadores do festival considerem necessário.
12. A sessão será em formato de obra-exposição, podendo ter seu formato sendo apresentado com ou sem áudio, parte do filme com mapping, com convite de VJs para projeção. As sessões são abertas para o público e não há reserva de ingressos. Pinus Session não se responsabiliza por quaisquer custos de transporte e estadia de realizadores.
13. Pinus Sessions não terá quaisquer direitos de propriedade intelectual ou artística sobre as obras submetidas, permanecendo os seus direitos sob o domínio dos autores, produtores e/ou quaisquer outros proprietários anteriores no momento da submissão ao festival.
14. Pinus Sessions reserva-se o direito de exibições não comerciais de qualquer filme inscrito pelo período de um ano a partir da data de submissão, mediante concordância dos produtores na ficha de inscrição. Caso haja vontade de disponibilizar o filme no banco de dados do festival para que seja exibido de maneira não comercial haverá possibilidade de assinalar a opção quando solicitado. Não havendo esta opção automaticamente fará parte deste banco de dados.
15. Cineastas concordam que clipes de até 60 segundos e imagens de seus filmes poderão ser utilizados no material promocional do festival. Além de imagens que deverão aparecer como obra-instalação durante a repercussão do festival nas redes socais e em outros materiais de comunicação.
16. Os participantes são responsáveis por garantir as permissões necessárias para participar do festival para não violar direitos de terceiros também envolvidos na produção do filme.
17. A participação nas sessões do Pinus Sessions implica a aceitação do presente Regulamento por todas as partes interessadas.
