Director Statement

I wrote Pinky Promise because of the countless times I witnessed my mom struggle and sacrifice her wants for mine. This story is aimed more toward parents and children. The main theme here is that parents will do whatever to see their kids smile.
Oftentimes, parents will conceal when everything’s falling apart just so their kids don’t have to worry. I want all the hustling parents who know all too well about constant sacrifices to resonate with this film and understand that they are greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I want kids to watch this and realize how blessed they have life and the importance of loving and helping their parents where and when they can.
