Pin Wheel
Pin Wheel tells the story of a forty year old, 2SLGBTQ+ character who has an unexpected encounter during an isolated time in her life. The narrative short film, part light-hearted drama and part celebration of solitude, speaks of the universal themes of heartbreak, belonging and kinship.

Carey + Steph
Shaw and Krawchuk are first time filmmakers. They began collaborating in 2021, under the name Racquet Club Creative Studio. Pin Wheel is their debut short film.
We are excited to present our first short film Pin Wheel for several reasons. Creatively, we are exploring and working with a medium that is new to us. Our aim as filmmakers, is to create stories with a voice that is female, 2SLGBTQ+, genuine, relatable and universal. Pin Wheel was shot entirely in Saskatoon, with a cast, crew and musicians based in Saskatchewan. This experience has propelled our creative practices in a new direction, while also helping grow our small community of Saskatchewan female filmmakers.
