Welcome to The PIIF - PANORAMA International Indie Film Festival.

Hey filmmakers and film fans,

We are super excited to share with you the new concept and name of our film festival: Panorama International Indie Film Festival (PIIF), formerly known as Prague International Indie Film Festival, our hometown.

PIIF is a Top 100 indie film festival on the planet, showing the most exceptional and diverse indie films from all over the world. This tough competition is a guarantee of outstanding screenings and credibility for our awardees. We accept films up to 40 minutes long, in any genre and style, as long as they are in English or have English subtitles (no exceptions).

PIIF started in Prague, Czech Republic, where it rocked for the first years of its life. Now we are ready to explore fresh places and new films every year, traveling to different cities and discovering new cultures and landscapes through cinema. We work hard to be the perfect festival for your networking and finding partners for your next audiovisual production in Europe. Have your project valued alongside big names who have already participated in renowned international film festivals!

In 2023, we are stoked to host PIIF in Porto, Portugal, an amazing new spot for cinema business and art. Porto is a gorgeous and historic city, famous for its wine, bridges, and architecture. It is also a lively and creative city, with a booming film industry and a rich cultural scene. Your next project needs to consider Porto as a place to develop it.

PIIF is not just a film festival, it is a place for filmmakers and film lovers to meet, mingle, share, and collaborate. Prizes for the best films in different categories, as well as special screenings, masterclasses, workshops, and networking events.

That's why now we are PANORAMA INTL INDIE FILM FEST.
PANORAMA is the amplified view.
PANORAMA is about movement.
PANORAMA wants to see all around.

If you want to submit your film to PIIF, please check out our website for more details on how to apply, deadlines, and fees. Or just go for it. It's simple. Else, talk to our team, we have a great communication team.

PIIF has a generous atmosphere for filmmaking. It may be here that your work gains deserved visibility. And it will also be here that you may meet the partners for your next production. Many will also know you and interesting possibilities will appear. This is how it has been happening at PIIF. You already know that a successful filmmaker career takes place when your network is in constant growth. PIIF is this environment: real and virtual, where we get to know you and you get known in the film industry.

Every great filmmaker made their first film. Almost always, it was a short film.
And just like the filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, photographers, costume designers, makeup artists, producers, and every player in the film industry went through the sacred moment of making a short film. For many, it was the first step in building a career.

PIIF is structured to give maximum visibility, opportunity, and recognition to cinema professionals through nomination, prominence, presentation, and awards in several categories.

And more: our parties, panels, and screenings are - no modesty here - an experience of joy and enrichment.

Filmmaker, it will be a pleasure and a responsibility to receive your film. We know that almost everyone here wants to live with movies, from movies, and for movies. This is our contribution. PIIF is our home. Welcome.
