Pierre Schomburg is a UK-based producer passionate about creating innovative, sustainable films with compelling narratives. He started his filmmaking career in New Zealand, where his short-form documentary “Anthropomorphism” (2018) earned critical recognition at local festivals, laying the groundwork for his creative approach to filmmaking. Pierre later pursued film studies at Falmouth University, where he expanded his skills in writing, directing, and producing, graduating with a clear focus on producing narrative-driven projects.
Following graduation, Pierre was selected for the 2023 BFI NETWORK South West Producer Lab, enhancing his capabilities and industry knowledge. Following this he has worked on productions, including Mark Jenkin’s BFI/Channel 4-backed “Rose of Nevada” (2024) and Sky’s upcoming project “Flavia” (2024). He also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Producer under Denzil Monk at Bosena, collaborating on the Cornwall-based short film “PEN MARI” (2025), supported by BFI and WePresent.
Most recently, Pierre produced "STRUCTURE" (2025), an experimental drama supported by Screen Cornwall and the Sound & Image Cinema Lab. Working within a modest budget, he successfully combined innovative storytelling with environmentally responsible practices, reflecting his commitment to sustainability.
Pierre aims to continue producing engaging short-form content, gradually taking on projects with larger budgets and increased complexity. Over time, he hopes to build on these experiences and eventually progress to producing feature-length films, always maintaining a strong emphasis on collaboration and sustainability.
