Director Biography - Ajoi Jenece Adams

Ajoi Adams, a sophomore at Howard University in Washington, D.C., was born on August 21st and hails from Marietta, Georgia, where she resides with her parents, Tonya and Vincent Adams. As the devoted sister to Darvin and Aja Adams, family plays a central role in Ajoi's life.

Currently majoring in Media, Journalism, and Film at Howard University, Ajoi has excelled academically, maintaining a stellar 4.0 GPA. She is an active participant in Howard University's vibrant creative community, serving as a team leader for the "Writers Bloque" poetry club, a member of the "Howard Players" theater group, and a contributor to "SpotlightNetwork," where she helps drive creative excellence and foster collaboration.

Ajoi's academic journey began at Hillgrove High School, where she achieved an impressive GPA of 4.2. During her time at Hillgrove, she showcased her diverse talents as a manager for Hillgrove’s Track & Field, a dedicated member of the National Honors Society, SGA Class Representative for four consecutive years, and numerous others. In her church, Ajoi took on various roles in the Worship Arts Ministry at Turner Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, including network anchor, audiovisual producer, assistant editor for the Gazette with the Young People’s Division (YPD), YPD’s recording secretary, board member, and a dancer in their dance ministries since the age of five.

Beyond academics, Ajoi has left her mark in the arts, being represented by Model and Talent Management. She participated in numerous community theatrical productions, including "Good Trouble," "Be Bold," "Fairy Tale Court," and most recently starring in a short film titled “Wants and Needs,” where she plays the lead role of Malia.

Ajoi's commitment to community service is remarkable, as demonstrated through her involvement in initiatives such as back-to-school sneaker and supply drives, feminine product drives, and Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways. She has collaborated with organizations like Jerusalem House, Community Food Bank, Hosea Feed the Hungry, Books for Africa, Little Hawks Cheer Camp, and Carrie Steele Orphanage. Additionally, she has worked closely with notable figures in the legal field, including Cobb’s former district attorney and the former prosecutor in the Ahmaud Arbery case, Mrs. Joyette Holmes.

Her education, skills, and experiences have shaped her into a well-rounded individual with expertise in photography, videography, modeling, and more. Ajoi aspires to become a cinematographer, actress, and model, with a keen interest in politics and a dedication to making a significant impact in the world of media. Ajoi's journey is marked by her unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service, making her a dedicated sophomore at Howard University with a promising future in the fields of media and the arts.
