Director Statement

An exploration of the short but impossible distance between the threshold of the front door to the world outside, and between two people separated by a mental illness.

This is a very personal story for me, as someone with a longtime anxiety disorder. My anxiety has meant, for me, a tension between self-absorption and guilt: withdrawal from the world to avoid suffering versus being fully present for the person I love.
