Philm Factory Competition Rules/Terms & Conditions:
The Philm Factory's "Monthly Monologue Competition" 2019 allows submissions from non-union actors to submit 1-2 minute monologues for a chance to win $300 and other prizes and awards. Participants can choose their own written monologue or one from their favorite movie or play.
Competition Period: Entries and Submissions will be accepted online beginning July 9th, 2019 through August 15th 2019.
Acceptance: By filling out an entry form and submitting your monologue videos, you agree to be bound by the rules as set forth below in this Agreement.
Submission Agreement (“Agreement”): This Agreement is a binding agreement between Philm Factory (the “Sponsor”, “we” or “us”) and you. This Agreement sets forth the rules and our policies as they relate to any monologue video (“Submission”) that you submit while participating in this contest, as it is outlined below.
Eligibility: The Giveaway (the “Giveaway) is open to participants 18 years or older at the date of entry. The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States. Employees of the Sponsor and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
All participants MUST submit a 1-2 minute monologue video. Monologues that exceed 2 mins and are less than 1 minute will be disqualified. Participants can choose their own monologues to submit. Monologues can also be original.
It is required that participants do NOT use props, music, or any kind of video effects (editing or cuts), etc.
Participants are NOT allowed to have other individuals participate in their submissions. (Other actors cannot read lines for other characters to help with your monologue. Please select appropriate monologues that only require one person.) This is a solo competition. Failure to comply, participants will be disqualified.
Participants can submit as many monologues as they wish, but a new registration is required per submission. The same monologue cannot be submitted twice by the same participant. If submitted twice, both submissions will be canceled out.
Giveaway: Winners, as decided by the Philm Factory, will receive a $300 Visa Gift Card and online recognition. The giveaway shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor's discretion. The Giveaway is non-transferable. Any and all giveaway related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of giveaway or transfer/assignment of giveaway to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Philm Factory and Eli Lu Entertainment to use winner's name, likeness, and entry in connection to the Giveaway for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.
Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Winner selection and notification: Each contestant’s 1- 2 monologues will be featured on the Eli Lu Entertainment’s website and social media sites. The winner of the Giveaway will be selected based on the following criteria: a) presentation and convincing character portrayal, b) delivery, c) acting skills and ability d) diction and pronunciation. Winners will be notified via email within five (5) days following the winner selection. Notification will be sent to the email address, that was provided at the time the contestant entered the Giveaway. The decisions of The Film Factory, are final and binding as it relates to the Content submitted for review. Film Factory shall have no liability for a winner's failure to receive notices due to a winners' spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners' provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, becomes ineligible, fails to claim the giveaway within fifteen (15) days from the date award notification was sent or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and the releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The receipt by winner of the giveaway offered in this Giveaway is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal and state laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT SPONSOR'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE GIVEAWAY AND FORFEITURE ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
There are NO REFUNDS for the registration fees so please be sure when submitting.
