Pharos Best Inspiration Film Festival is an international competitive short film festival created by filmmakers and dedicated to the short form. In 2023, PBISFF celebrate its 3th annual edition. The festival screenings will once again take place at the Cine Astron.
PBISFF is a competitive festival with winners in each of seven categories: Drama Short, Animation Short, LGBTQ Short, Student Short, Best Director Award, Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award and Best Screenplay Award. The audience votes for its favorite film in each screening. Filmmakers in attendance from the US, UK, Australia, Germany, South Africa, Israel, Canada, Italy and more. Attending filmmakers participate in a post-screening Q&A and network with other filmmakers and industry guests at our after-party.
We are anticipating your films to be shown in our festival in the picturesque city of Mandra - Eidyllias.

Please read all rules and requirements for submitting your project:
Short films submissions will be accepted as long as they are completed during the last three years before the submission.
We accept films up to 30 minutes long.
If your film is selected, you are expected to provide a link to download your film so that we can project it at the festival, a press kit with press reviews, synopsis, full credits, film stills, trailer (or film clips), posters, and a director's bio with a headshot. Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer and similar services are accepted. You can also make your film downloadable on FilmFreeway or Vimeo, so that we can download the file for viewing all our judges.
We currently project in 1080p, 23.976. (30 fps and 25 fps are also accepted, we will convert them) .mov or .mp4 formats are accepted.
4k files and ProRes are accepted, but they are overkill. We will have to convert these types of files in order to screen them on our system.
We do not screen 720p or SD Files.
We do not stream from YouTube or Vimeo at the event, due to internet reliability issues.
All non-English films must have English embedded subtitles.
We do not accept films in progress.
More than one film may be submitted, but each must be submitted on a separate e-link, and accompanied by separate submission form, entry fee, and printed payment receipt.
The entry fee is non-refundable and required at the time of submission. Please pay the entry through FilmFreeway. Do not send cash or checks.
Filmmakers must submit an online screener of their film through FilmFreeway, or by providing a link to an external site (e.g., Vimeo) with any passwords needed to view the film to: (email@example.com)
Pharos Best Inspiration Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Pharos Best Inspiration Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
