Director Biography - Bryant Anderson

Bryant Anderson, a filmmaker, and screenwriter from Cleveland, Ohio, began his film career by working on many local projects as an actor and assistant director. Bryant's directorial debut began with a short film titled Finale. Bryant also wrote and produced the project as well. The film Finale is an urban drama about two brothers. One is a drug dealer, and the other is a homosexual dying of aids. Both argue and debate important issues such as religion, thug life, and homosexuality. In the end, one of them goes to meet his maker; Finale was a selection at the fourth annual Urban MediaMakers' film festival.
Bryant Anderson's short film A Day of Racism, which he also wrote and produced, is an intense drama that reveals a young man's cause to end racism. The film shows a realistic character study about racism in urban America and how racist words can cause racist events, changing lives. A Day of Racism was a finalist in the December 2020 New York Movie Awards.
Bryant Anderson, as a screenwriter, has also had recognized success. His featured-length script, A Family is a Family, is an urban drama about an owner of a gay boardinghouse who struggles to be a father figure to his clan of mischief tenants. A Family is a Family, in 2022, was selected for the KinoDrome: International Motion Picture & Screenplay Festival and the Urban Mediamakers Festival. It also had a quarter-finalist placement at the 2022 New York International Screenplay Awards.

Bryant Andeson's urban thriller screenplay You Better Run, You Better Hide is a female lead story. A plus-size fitness instructor who breaks a state-mandated quarantine and runs for her life as a sociopath whose hatred of such women pursues her to kill. In 2022, You Better Run, You Better Hide was a finalist in the Hollywood Just4Shorts Film and Screenplay Competition.
Bryant Anderson directed Niece Anderson's short film Perspective. A story of a young man's rational dilemma before his marriage proposal to the woman he loves as she discusses views with discomfort about his jealous devotion to her. Perspective is slated for release in September 2022.
