Director Biography - Vieira Vasco

Vieira Vasco was born Vasco Vieira in Porto.
He’s now a filmmaker and creative living and working in London since 2012. A multidisciplinary artist at heart, Vasco freelances as an editor and director, at the same time he develops personal projects that he writes, such as the newly released award-winning super 8 short film ‘Admit One’ (Top 8 at Straight 8 2022), the NVIFF 2019 Best Webseries nominee ‘Holy Popcorn’ and the documentary '25 Years In The Making' (2014). He also co-founded Cinephilia Film Fest (2015-16) and directed the web-gone-TV project 'The Coffee Shop Series' (2012-2014), as well as the Arouca Film Festival winner of Best Documentary, 'Jibberland' (2010).
As a cinephile he has an unquenchable craving for horror and comedy, with a soft spot for classic cinema. As a human, he rarely speaks in the third person.
