Periscope
A dance film shot entirely on the iPhone 7+, Periscope is the point in time when a performer transitions from the actual world to an imagined one. The further you go, the more the lines blur...and maybe even disappear.

Alexis Young is a graphic designer and photographer in Lafayette, LA. Though Alexis has done numerous creative jobs commercially, this is her debut as an independent film-maker and cinematographer. "Periscope" is the first project in what will hopefully become a collection of mind-bending short dance films.
Paige Barnett is a professional dancer and choreographer in Lafayette, LA. She choreographed "Delicate Things" a short dance film that was chosen for the NACHMO Film Project screenings in NYC. She has also performed in Shrug's music video, "Falling Into Wine." "Periscope" is Paige's first directorial endeavor, and she hopes to continue creating movement-films that blend the worlds of alternative film-making and dance.
This film was shot by first-time filmmakers, completely on an iPhone 7+, and cost $40 total. We couldn't have done it without the support from our friends and the "local artist paradise" that is Lafayette, LA. Thank you.
