Director Biography - Tameeka Colon

Born and raised New York City by way of East Harlem and the Bronx, Colon is a visionary innovator in love with the art of story telling through film and music. First-time filmmaker graduated from Berklee College of Music six years ago in pursuit of starting a career in the Music Industry as an artist manager but transitioned to video production and film once she needed a medium to promote the musicians she managed under her own label, Artisntegrity. Two web series, several music videos and collaborations later, Colon started to produce narrative films and is now pursuing an M.F.A. in Producing Cinema at Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College. Her collaborations include work with today's most reputable publications, artists and arts organizations, including The Fader, Inc., Brooklyn Ballet, Anna Wise (Kendrick Lamar) as well as Elle Winston.

Perfect Stranger is a beautiful story that allows the viewer to be immersed in this world we've created. It explores sexuality and the many different emotional states one may experience at times when dealing with loss. I hope we were able to capture these emotions and detach our viewers from them at the same time.
