Meray Diner is a Cypriot filmmaker based in Glasgow. She explores human relationship to the land, water and the environment through the themes that emerge from it.
She was commissioned by Hugo Burge Foundation Filmmaker Residency in 2024 to develop her new film with a support from Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
She completed the Cross Borders mentorship with Scottish Refugee Council and currently developing fiction films.
Pink Moon is a timeless film about inter-generational trauma of conflict and division with a focus on Cyprus and director's own experience from Turkish speaking Community of the divide. And the film resonates with all the conflict and historical traumas of communities around the world in such difficult times as now.
