Peddling

Peddling follows the life of Shorty, a black preteen boy growing up in the hood of South Dallas during the 90’s crack epidemic. As any other boy his age he wants a bicycle and has been working all summer raking yards, collecting cans, and any miscellaneous thing he can do to save up for it. But where he is from, options are limited and drug money is easy, fast, and the way most of the men in his vicinity earn a living. As he journeys into manhood and financial independence, will he succumb to becoming a product of his environment?
