A Peace Of Europe: Brexit, The EU & The Good Friday Agreement
Twenty years after the Good Friday Agreement was signed in 1998, EU Supergirl Madeleina Kay and indie filmmaker Thom Jackson-Wood explore how the European Union has supported the Northern Irish Peace Process whilst also campaigning against the biggest threat to the Peace Process since it was signed - Brexit.

Thom Jackson-Wood has some big ideas - and he is proving to be a very versatile filmmaker. Having acted professionally since 2012, he started writing and producing short films in 2015 in his spare time. Despite limited means and living with the chronic illness Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), he was able to produce and direct the award-winning short documentary "A Peace of Europe." (2020) He is now completing the post-production on his next project "The Black Box: Awaken," which he hopes will raise awareness about ME/CFS.
"A Peace Of Europe" is Thom's first directing credit, but he draws on his storytelling abilities as a writer and actor, as well as his background as a politics graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London. As such, he is able to cover a wide variety of topics surrounding Brexit and the Good Friday agreement, present controversial material in a balanced matter, and structure different strands into a cohesive storyline.
I'm seeking to make groundbreaking new films, which will tell stories that people haven't seen or heard before. A lot of my work has a political edge to it, either looking at Brexit or issues faced by disabled people in the UK. However my main focus is always to tell a story, which is what I feel is at the heart of filmmaking.
