Pawla Dean's White House Kitchen

When Melanya Trump hires Pawla Dean to clean up Donald’s diet, the two women forge an unlikely bond as they navigate the absurdly misogynistic demands of the Trump era from a bunker underneath the White House - where all the female employees are kept.

Director Statement

We live in a weird time. The bizarre, surreal, and unthinkable appear daily on our front pages and in our inboxes. It’s exhausting, it’s confusing, it tests our constitutional limits, but it also tests what we have come to accept as the truth: the perfect foundation for an animated series. We grew up in an exciting time for animation; The Simpsons, Family Guy, Ren & Stimpy - these shows were able to push what had previously been a children’s genre into the realm of social and political satire that adults could love without shame. We want to take that into the Trump Era and create a buttery, deep fried, 1800 calorie dessert of a series that provides the perfect salve for our surreal reality. That is Pawla Dean’s White House Kitchen, because why not??
