Eligibility
The festival is open to both short films (under 40 minutes) and feature films (over 40 minutes).
Films in any genre, including but not limited to, drama, documentary, animation, experimental, and student films, are welcome.
Films must have been completed after January 2023.
Submissions from international filmmakers are encouraged.
Submission Process
Online Submission: All films must be submitted via the official Pavia Film Festival submission platform.
Submission Deadline: All films must be submitted by May 31, 2025.
Submission Fee: There is a submission fee for each entry, which varies based on the category. Please refer to the submission platform for the exact fee schedule.
Film Format:
Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, AVI
Resolution: At least 1080p (Full HD) for screening purposes.
Selection Process
All films will be reviewed by our programming team and a group of experienced film curators.
Official Selection: The selected films will be featured in the main festival program.
Awards: Films selected for screening are eligible for a variety of awards, including Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Director, and Audience Choice.
Requirements for Selected Films
Digital Screeners: If selected, you will be required to submit a high-quality digital copy of the film for screening at the festival.
Film Synopsis & Materials: A short synopsis, filmmaker bio, press kit, and promotional images may be requested.
Notification
All filmmakers will be notified about their selection status a few weeks after submitting their films.
Selected films will be invited to attend the festival and participate in screenings, Q&A sessions, and networking events.
Additional Guidelines
The festival reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet the criteria or fails to adhere to the submission guidelines.
