Born from an American father and a Japanese mother, Alex Mancuso is always looking to tell a story through visuals. His cinematic appetite has consumed all flavors of cinema from foreign spectacles like Memories of Murder and Metropolis, groundbreaking science-fiction like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Akira, brewing horrors like Psycho and The Silence of the Lambs, and seasoned gems like The Goonies and It’s a Wonderful Life. Mancuso graduated in May 2019 from Elon University in North Carolina double majoring in Cinema/TV Arts and International Studies with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies and currently pursues a filmmaking career back in his hometown of Atlanta. Spurred by his international background Mancuso has also traveled across the globe and experienced eating ramen in Japan, hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, riding camels in Morocco, smoking hookah in Jordan, drinking wine in Greece and scuba diving in Mexico. And now he uses all these experiences and more to fuel his storytelling.
