Experiencing Interruptions?

Paths that feed: an agroecological consumption experience in the Amazon

The film is a 22-minute documentary directed by Noel Gonzaga, coordinator of the Group for Agroecological Consumption (GRUCA) and Beatriz Aviz Master's student at the Environment Center (NUMA/UFPA), the film shows the production chain of agroecological foods, since from production batches, cultivation practices to the delivery of food to consumers. Noel Gonzaga explains that "this is expected to: enhance the local ecological knowledge of the peasants who supply the city with quality food; promote educational processes on food safety, sovereignty and culture through the release of the film". Beatriz Aviz adds that the film's circulation is important because it "shares the local ecological knowledge of farmers to other locations in order to encourage the production and consumption of poison-free food".

The film is part of the project "Local ecological knowledge of farmers in the Group for Agroecological Consumption (GRUCA) on the agroecological food production chain", selected by the Aldir Blanc Pará Food Culture Public Notice and had the support of the Environment Center from UFPA through the Socio-agro-environmental Diversity Research Group in the Amazon (GEDAF).
