Towards Nomadic Land
Towards Nomadic Land takes us to Kyrgyzstan, to meet five young adults in their twenties who embark on a tumultuous adventure of backcountry skiing and local culture. Planning their trip from A to Z, they quickly realize that despite all the preparations made beforehand, one cannot foresee the unforeseen.
Two serious accidents force them to drastically change their plans and to arm themselves with resilience in order to continue their journey. Their mistakes influence how they think about their true aspirations and the importance of getting back to the basics.
Through words and striking images, we discover the force and dignity of the mountain, whose voice guides us with gentleness and enthrallment. At times critical, at times spiritual, it will make us dive into the heart of its immenseness and its devastating power while inviting us into the richness of the semi-nomadic culture of Kyrgyzstan, which inspires us to travel differently.

Graduate in Adventure Tourism at Cégep de Gaspé, Lucas is fan of adventure and discovery, backcountry skiing and trail running. He sees every day as an opportunity to live in harmony with his environment in respect for the present moment. He stands out for his sense of leadership and organization and his desire to pass on his knowledge. Passionate about visual arts, he has participated as co-director and as cinematographer assistant in several short and medium-length ski films in the Chic-Chocs, in Western Canada and in Central Asia. Great are the chances that you meet him somewhere between two peaks in Gaspésie, his favorite playground. Despite his young age, he hides behind his sunglasses mountains of stories to share.
