Party
One day, a virus appeared that infected everyone around me. The virus is a dance caused by a very addictive song.
Among people who are into dance, I discovered something new. Not only people but all living animals and plants dance to that song. Although I make an effort to be registered and visible in this exciting world, I am an actively created person. To me, it's all about making sure your special ears don't bunch up and the song doesn't move.
I try hard to heal the people who make me feel lonely, but I can't deal with them, and the only thing I can't do is blame them. I discovered the existence of the Action Group, but I couldn't deny it, so I calmly accepted the whole situation, accepted it, and tried not to have any expectations.

Kim Seo Young studied at the Korea National University of Arts, majoring in the School of Film, TV & Multimedia from 2018 to 2024, where she explored animation, art, and the humanity. Throughout her studies, she delved into the nuances of alienation and inner conflict that individuals face in modern society. Her work aims to capture the intricate layers of human psychology, instincts, and desires through a visually expressive language. Particularly drawn to themes of loss and solitude, She seeks to portray the journey toward self-discovery and the inherent worth of one’s true self.
There was a time when I was isolated in loneliness under the illusion that everyone in the world except me was leading a happy life. However, after the dark times passed, I was able to face moments of happiness that I had not seen at the time. It's not that I wasn't happy, it was that I was missing out on happiness because I didn't have the space of mind to enjoy it. The short animation <Party> depicts my isolated teenage years. It was produced by projection. I hope that this work will bring a little joy in the cold to those who are having a winter of their hearts, and that it will give them the courage to hold their own party, even if it is simple.
Let’s party time!
