Richard Batres is a long-time actor who has performed in local community theater and professionally for over two decades. He's a Cum Laude graduate of Sacramento State University with a degree in communications film production. He has lived in Sacramento for over ten years and has been a long-time performer of the Sacramento Shakespeare festival. In the short film Part Time Criminals Richard Batres brings in his twin brother Nicholas, also an actor and collaborator with Richard. He has been transitioning from the theatre to film for quite some time making short films, documentaries and volunteering on any film set he can find. His creative endeavors include playing music, most notably he is known for his exceptional harmonica playing which is featured briefly in Part Time Criminals. He also spends a lot of his time writing scripts for theater or screenplays for film. Richard looks forward to attending your Film Festival and meeting other filmmakers and discussing future projects that may peak his interest. Richard has a six-part miniseries about the life and times of Muhammad Ali that he is looking to have produced.
