A Roma, tra antichità e antenne, alberi e cieli pieni di traffico, i pappagalli hanno imparato a volare liberi. Colorati, rumorosi, imprevedibili, hanno invaso la città come un piccolo miracolo tropicale: piume verdi tra i palazzi, grida esotiche sopra i sampietrini, lampi di colore nel grigio urbano.
Da questo spirito nasce il Parrot Film Festival, un festival dedicato ai film più coraggiosi, visionari e colorful: opere che non hanno paura di farsi notare, di essere strane, selvatiche, luminose, ironiche o profondamente libere.
Al Parrot Kino & Gaming Lounge, cinema, gaming, immaginazione e cultura pop si incontrano in uno spazio vivo e fuori dagli schemi. Qui vengono celebrati i film che osano cambiare prospettiva, rompere le gabbie narrative e volare in direzioni inattese.
Come i pappagalli che attraversano Roma senza chiedere permesso, anche i film del festival portano colore dove prima non c’era: invadono lo sguardo, disturbano il silenzio, aprono nuove rotte.
Le opere in concorso saranno valutate da una giuria composta da un grande numero di spettatori e cinefili attraverso la piattaforma INDI, che permetterà di votare e selezionare i film più audaci, originali e memorabili.
Il premio del festival è il Colorful Parrot Award, assegnato ai film che sapranno distinguersi per coraggio creativo, identità visiva, libertà espressiva e capacità di lasciare un segno.
Il Parrot Film Festival non è solo una rassegna cinematografica: è un’invasione poetica di immagini, suoni e colori. Un luogo dove il cinema apre le ali, cambia piume e vola sopra Roma con tutta la sua energia più selvaggia.

In Rome, among antiquity and antennas, ancient trees and skies filled with traffic, parrots have learned to fly free. Colorful, noisy, unpredictable, they have invaded the city like a small tropical miracle: green feathers between the buildings, exotic cries above the cobblestones, flashes of color in the urban grey.
From this spirit, the Parrot Film Festival is born: a festival dedicated to the bravest, most visionary and colorful films. Works that are not afraid to be noticed, to be strange, wild, luminous, ironic, or deeply free.
At Parrot Kino & Gaming Lounge, cinema, gaming, imagination and pop culture meet in a vibrant, unconventional space. Here, we celebrate films that dare to shift perspective, break the cages of narrative, and fly in unexpected directions.
Like the parrots crossing Rome without asking permission, the films of the festival bring color where there was none before: they invade the gaze, disturb the silence, and open new routes.
The films in competition will be evaluated by a jury composed of a large number of cinephile spectators through the INDI platform, which will allow them to vote and select the boldest, most original and most memorable films.
The festival prize is the Colorful Parrot Award, given to the films that distinguish themselves through creative courage, visual identity, expressive freedom, and the ability to leave a mark.
The Parrot Film Festival is not just a film showcase: it is a poetic invasion of images, sounds and colors. A place where cinema opens its wings, changes its feathers, and flies above Rome with all its wildest energy

Premi e modalità di selezione

Il premio ufficiale del Parrot Film Festival è il Colorful Parrot, riconoscimento dedicato ai film che meglio rappresentano lo spirito del festival: coraggio, originalità, identità visiva, libertà espressiva e una visione cinematografica audace e colorata.
Tutti i film selezionati saranno visionati e valutati da una giuria composta da spettatori cinefili attraverso la piattaforma INDI. Ogni giurato potrà votare online, contribuendo alla selezione delle opere più coraggiose, originali e memorabili in concorso.
Il Colorful Parrot sarà assegnato ai film capaci di volare oltre i confini del cinema convenzionale, portando sullo schermo nuovi colori, nuove voci e nuove prospettive.

Awards & Selection Process

The official award of the Parrot Film Festival is the Colorful Parrot, a prize dedicated to the films that best embody the spirit of the festival: courage, originality, visual identity, expressive freedom and a bold, colorful cinematic vision.
All selected films will be viewed and evaluated by a jury composed of cinephile spectators through the INDI platform. Each juror will be able to vote online, helping to identify the most daring, memorable and vibrant works in competition.
The Colorful Parrot will be awarded to the films that dare to fly beyond conventional cinema, bringing new colors, voices and perspectives to the screen.

Rules & Terms

L’iscrizione al Parrot Film Festival avviene tramite la piattaforma Filmfreway ed è aperta esclusivamente a opere per le quali il soggetto proponente dichiara di possedere la totalità dei diritti necessari alla partecipazione.
Con l’invio del film, l’autore, produttore o avente diritto dichiara sotto la propria responsabilità di detenere tutti i diritti relativi all’opera, incluse immagini, musiche, materiali d’archivio, interpreti e qualsiasi altro contenuto presente nel film, sollevando l’organizzazione del festival, INDI e il Parrot Kino & Gaming Lounge da eventuali contestazioni da parte di terzi.
L’iscrizione comporta inoltre l’autorizzazione all’inserimento del film sulla piattaforma INDI ai fini della visione, valutazione e votazione da parte della giuria del festival.
Il partecipante autorizza il Parrot Film Festival, INDI e il Parrot Kino & Gaming Lounge a proiettare l’opera selezionata , senza finalità di sfruttamento commerciale ulteriore, salvo diverso accordo scritto tra le parti.
L’organizzazione si riserva il diritto di selezionare le opere ritenute conformi allo spirito del festival e di escludere film che non rispettino il presente regolamento o che presentino problemi relativi ai diritti di utilizzo.

Submissions to the Parrot Film Festival are made through the FilmFreeway platform and are open exclusively to works for which the submitting party declares that they hold all the rights necessary for participation.
By submitting the film, the author, producer, or rights holder declares, under their own responsibility, that they possess all rights related to the work, including images, music, archival materials, performers, and any other content included in the film. The submitting party releases the festival organization, INDI, and Parrot Kino & Gaming Lounge from any claims or disputes raised by third parties.
Submission also implies authorization for the film to be uploaded to the INDI platform for the purpose of viewing, evaluation, and voting by the festival jury.
The participant authorizes the Parrot Film Festival, INDI, and Parrot Kino & Gaming Lounge to screen the selected work, without any further commercial exploitation, unless otherwise agreed in writing between the parties.
The organization reserves the right to select the works considered in line with the spirit of the festival and to exclude films that do not comply with these rules or that present issues related to usage rights.

I film iscritti o selezionati nell’edizione precedente del festival avranno diritto a un free waiver, che consentirà la partecipazione gratuita alla nuova edizione del Parrot Film Festival, secondo le modalità indicate dall’organizzazione.

Films submitted or selected in the previous edition of the festival will be entitled to a free waiver, allowing them to participate free of charge in the new edition of the Parrot Film Festival, according to the procedures indicated by the organization.
