Park Fantasy

Li Youjie, born in 1982 in Yunnan Province, China. Graduated from Film and TV Department of Yunnan Art Academy in 2007. Being artist and independent filmmaker, Li Youjie kept making documentary films about his home village from 2005 till now. Most of his films relate to personal experience, memories, relatives and the rural reality of China. His first feature-length documentary film “Alao’s Village” was awarded the “Best Ten Documentary Films of the Year” of “The 10th Beijing Independent Film Festival” in China and was selected in “International Competition” of the “19th It’s All True – International Documentary Film Festival” in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; “The 7th Biennial Reel China@NYU” in New York; “China Onscreen Biennial” in Los Angeles; “The 8 of Paths: Art in Beijing” in Berlin, Germany and “The 10th China Independent Film Festival”in Nanjing, China.
Being collected by New York University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong etc., “Alao’s Village” is the first film of the “Village Trilogy” , the second and the third are now in progress.
