Lisa Marie Williams is from Chicago. She spent her childhood growing up on the south-side. In her teens she moved to California with her father Stan. She joined the US army right after graduating high school. She was a telecommunications operator and held a Top Secret Clearance. She went on to have 2 children. Ashley was born to her when she was stationed in Germany. Jeffery is her surviving son and he lives in southern California with Lisa's grand-daughter Jahzyra. She has always been creative even in the early days. She was always singing, writing, dancing and had a passion for movies and was a natural storyteller. Today she has a web-series on Amazon Prime entitled "Parents who have lost a child". She is also a recording artist. Her recent song "Selfish" is on Spotify, Soundcloud, Google Play Store and Itunes. She published an ebook Losing Ashley Rene that is now on Amazon Kindle Publishing.
This piece was a labor of Love. I lost my child Ashley Rene and my grand-daughter due to complications to her pregnancy. I have struggled for years dealing with this loss. I decided I wanted to share my story to help others who have lost a child, and also for those who do not or want to understand. Losing a child is the most un-natural thing that can happen to a parent. It has changed my life forever.
