Director Statement

What got me onto the film business, was the fascination of true cinema. And by true cinema, I mean films by the masters like Bergman, Welles, Kubrick and others. These directors had the talent to use the medium in their very own personal way. You could always tell who was the director of these films, even though you didn't know it. And most important; they really knew how to tell stories with images, and not with words.
And that is what I have been trying to develop a bit further with PARANOIA. I love psychological dramas, but I also love "cinematic" films where the visuals are dominating. So, I thought I would try to make a psychological drama which was based on visuals, and not words.
The content is about our anxiety and fear of strangers. We all have some sort of prejudice towards strangers, which in this case leads to a surprise and recognition.
