Paramita
Wu Shuiqing was a hardworking man who worked 24/7 for his own restaurant. Despite gambling occasionally, he is not addicted to it. Wu believed life was about to be better as their restaurant became popular till he accidentally found out his wife’s infidelity. Wu’s younger brother, Laiqing, went to the cicisbeo ( Zhou Wenbin)’s to ask for an explanation after he discovered the betrayal, but he was beaten up as scraped. Wu hoped to seek justice for his younger brother through legal channels, but the other side is too powerful, and the matter has never been settled. After this great change, Wu has become a inveterate gambler and went bankrupt. One day, his friend Yuan hao told him that he was being deceived and manipulated by his “friends” in the lake casino and the boss of this casino was Zhou Wenbin. This afternoon, Wu decided to perish together with Zhou Wenbin.

In 2011, I graduated from the Musical Theatre Department of Beijing Dance Academy.
I used to be a musical theater actor and became a musical director and screenwriter in 2014.
Director’s representatives:
A Thousand Springs, a musical of Chen Xiangmei and the Flying Tigers;
Youth on the March, a musical with the background of the Battle of Hutou Mountain in Qujing, which illustrates the stories between a deserter and the young Miao soldiers;
Lin Huiyin, an original modern opera produced by the China Opera and Dance Theater.
In the meantime, I wrote musical scripts Wa, Hani honey,Bang Bang; drama scripts Promise; film scripts More is different and so on.
In Feb 2021, I completed my first short film Alice, which was written, directed, edited and composed by myself. This was my first attempt to make a transition to the screen.
In April 2021, I completed my first short film Paramaita, which was written, directed, edited and composed all by myself.
Everyone will have a turning point sooner or later in their life. When it comes, they will never come back. It could be a broken relationship, the end of a certain life, a lost friend or family member, or even a complete destruction of their life. The moment they realize that their lives had changed and the way they respond and react after the change is the core point of my story. When they recall the turning point, the words like “AT THAT TIME/ONLY IF/DEFINITELY WOULD” are often mentioned, because they are very concerned about other people’s evaluation. And no matter what kind of the stories, there must be an "END". It is the waken moment for a dream, it is the only real emptiness, it is good and bad at the same time. In the film, we begin with the “END” point but come back through the turning point, after all that, we show the scene of “END”. We hope the “END” is the only truth and the reflection of our nature instinct, rather than a disguised individual version. Therefore, in terms of perspective, I often use a fixed shots to express a kind of onlooker attitude, and to create a sense of escape in style, sometimes realistic, sometimes illusory, as a hope to show the trance and escape in the character when facing the present through this contrast. Until the “END”,it changed to a documentary style, to promote the audience's sense of participation.At the end, the man entered the lake with nothing left. Perhaps the cruel reality of life is not in the past, it the remaining life itself, as well as the happiness.At the end, the man entered the lake with nothing left.
