'Parallel Lines' (Samantara Geregalu) is the 5th shortfilm by Naresh Hegde. His previous shortfilms have been screened in reputed shortfilm festivals and have received appreciation from the audience and critics. He believes that visual storytelling is also a very personal art and the writer & director should thrive for personal satisfaction through it to succeed in this form. He loves writing multiple scripts simultaneously and currently fine-tuning his next film attempt. He knows that film-making is a slow process and hence exploring his own abilities patiently.
Stories fascinate me everyday. The very fact that "stories are everywhere & in every little things" excites me and that's what keeps motivating me to write more and more.
What is a movie without story? - it's a body without heart.
Layered storytelling is my favorite thing. I strongly believe that it's high-time Kannada cinema is quickly moving ahead and catching up with some peers.
Cliche'd movie making is a thing. But there are other possibilities too, I am exploring that other side - more no. of layers in a story - more food for thought - more fun. I am also thankful to Veer Santhosh and team of 'Peppermint Pictures' team for producing my latest effort 'Parallel Lines'.
