Experiencing Interruptions?

Paradoxical Synchronicity

A tell-tale story of an ordinary boy growing up in "small town" U.S.A. while possessing within him an extraordinary gift that may never be known due to his emotionally traumatic upbringing. Though mentored, guided, and inspired by some exceptionally wise and loving souls, he will succumb to societal pressures and decide to tragically throw it all away.
Paradoxical Synchronicity sends a message to follow one’s passion throughout the adversity life presents. Each of our actions upon this world creates an impact, immeasurable maybe, but every life truly matters.

Director Biography - Brandon Scott McCall

“Why do we Fall?”
–Jonathon Nolan (Batman Begins)

Several things have provided me the will to fully plunge head first into the film making world. Upon learning that I would be medically retired after 13 years of military service due to injuries sustained throughout three Combat Tours in Iraq and Afghanistan while serving as a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army, I set out to pursue my lifelong dream of promoting education, acceptance, cultural understanding, and ultimately positive growth in humanity by encouraging and hopefully inspiring through collaboration in Arts and Sciences.

I credit my empathetic and nurturing approach towards diverse cultural values and beliefs, partially to the fact that my family and I had re-located 9 times by the time I was 18, much of which was endured due to my Mother’s desperate attempt to provide for her children as a single parent. Humbled and matured in many ways by my emotionally turbulent upbringing, this was extremely formative for my present psychology and laid the foundation for my strong work ethic and demanding approach towards self-improvement. Having been raised in an unstable environment, dealing with issues such as emotional, psychological, and physical abuse, abandonment, irrational behaviors, and substance abuse; I know personally how difficult some things are for a person to admit and move beyond in a positive way. This is what has provided me the understanding to have compassion for humanity as a whole, and more specifically the people that I had held responsible for my struggles. I want and ultimately feel a responsibility to share my experience in order to give chance that it may help someone else struggling internally with relatable troubles and provide them with the comfort to share their problems, knowing they are not alone.

I believe that it’s absolutely necessary for all of us to find our way to a place in which we can truly acknowledge that those who hurt us, predominately, are hurting. I believe everyone has operated on both sides of the fence at one time or another. At our core, we all possess a similar concern for one another. However, when consumed with intense emotional and psychological pain we are often forced into a self-preservation mode for a time period and function with an impaired ability to be true to ourselves and others due to the struggle to exist within this world that is so driven by societal pressures of normalcy and routine.

My passion and profound respect for Music and Film, married with the burning desire to help others by means of emotionally charged audio/visual story telling drove me to begin Red Roof Productions on April 10th of 2015. The first story being one of my own writing – “Paradoxical Synchronicity”. Admittedly, I had very little experience in the film making process prior to that, but it was the belief in my purpose, trust in my perseverant and resilient approach; combined with my experience in entrepreneurship through my parents’ businesses, and management skills that I developed while serving in leadership roles within the military, that I knew I would do this.

Conceived in April and fully legitimized by May 28th, 2015, I have obtained the official license for Red Roof Productions LLC., and “Paradoxical Synchronicity” was fully casted and crewed for filming. While the journey since then has been extremely challenging, it has also been rewarding in ways that I struggle to properly express.

My biggest inspirations for continuing on this path are my twins Lincoln and Scarlett, from my late marriage. The look in their eyes upon telling them my decision to follow this dream is one I will never forget. I have always believed that before we can set a proper example for anyone else, our own children included, that we must first love and take care of ourselves. Difficult to comprehend perhaps, but our children are watching us, and if we do not have a healthy love and confidence in ourselves, how can we inspire them to do the same? The look in their eyes that day gave confirmation to that belief I had maintained for so long, and continuing to create that look gives me the strength to follow on with this dream.

I’ve had a few people ask what will make me feel that I have accomplished my dreams. If I were to leave this life tomorrow, in many ways, I feel very fulfilled in things that I have already achieved along this journey. However, I still have so much more inside me that I want to be able to share with not only my children, but also with whomever my experiences and thoughts may provide some understanding or comfort to. I would never claim that my life experiences have been any greater or more difficult than the next person, but if even by dumb luck I can “Forrest Gump” my way into delivering a decently filmed, slightly different telling of a story and it positively impacts even just one person’s life, that is all I could ever truly hope for.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone who has shared my vision and come aboard this project. All of you have provided an overwhelming amount of support; going above and beyond to donate your time and energy to my life and to this company. That in itself is a huge motivation to continue on, to produce films that will make all of your efforts worthwhile and and to make you proud to be a part of this.
