Victor Toma is a first-time filmmaker from Romania, driven by a passion for art and storytelling. Originally studying architecture for almost two years, Victor made the bold decision to drop out and fully commit to his true calling: creating art. This decision paved the way for his evolution as a visual artist and filmmaker, where he blends his technical skills with his creative vision.
Victor began his artistic journey at the age of 14, experimenting with short animations on an old computer. Over the years, he honed his craft, developing a unique voice that spans various mediums, from animation to painting and drawing. His work has earned recognition in local and national graffiti contests, further solidifying his diverse artistic range.
As a filmmaker, Victor’s aim is to create films that are not only unique and ambitious but also accessible to a wide audience. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for groundbreaking storytelling, he strives to push the boundaries of what cinema can be while keeping the audience emotionally engaged and connected to his work.
My film explores humanity's gradual loss of its soul as we move further into an artificial future. While AI plays a significant role in the creation of the film, it is ultimately a tool to reflect how technology is disconnecting us from our true essence. Through the blend of music, visuals, and storytelling, I wanted to highlight how we are losing something deeply human in the process of technological advancement, and how we risk becoming unrecognizable in the pursuit of progress.
