Director Biography - Alex Pizano

Alex Pizano (born April 5, 1980) is a film director and screenwriter from Roraima, Brazil.

He has been working in the field of film directing since 2007, when he released the experimental medium-length film Divida Sangrenta, followed by independent projects such as the feature film Remanescente das Sombras (2009), the short film O Estranho (2011), which received the Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the Tela Digital Film Festival on TV Brasil in 2011, O Último Lamento (2012), and Cavalgada dos Justos (2018). In 2021, he released the short film Palasito (2021), which participated in and won awards at several national and international festivals. Also in 2022, he released the short period drama film called Ventos do Verão, which received the award for “Best Photography” at the 6th Jaraguá do Sul Film Festival, in SC 2023, and the award for "Best International Short Film" at the Stockholm Short Film Festival, in Sweden. All fiction films made in the state of Roraima.
