Pagliacci

The story is inspired by the Aria “Vesti la giubba” from the Italian opera <Pagliacci>.
The film tells the story ahout the manager of a country theatrical troupe playing as a harlequin with laughter on the stage and tears off the stage.
The climax of the story appears in the last performance of the theatrical troupe, the manager used a knife to stab his lover who is determined to leave.
The film combines the Chinese native rural texture and the Western traditional tragic temperament.
