Most countries of the world are experiencing health transitions with a rapidly rising burden of chronic and incurable diseases. This indicates the need of Palliative care as directed by WHO.
Pediatric Palliative care is at its inception stage in india. Wider application and acceptance of this speciality is essential for the best possible care of children with advanced cancers and other life threatening diseases.
Therefore the video which is based on "Pediatric Palliative care" was made to educate the common people about its need , multidisciplinary approach and a holistic care for the child as well as the family.
According to the (WHO;1998a) (1) (3 old) Palliative care for the children is the active total care of the child's body, mind and spirit, and also involves giving support to the family. The video focuses on the need of effective Palliative care by ensuring adequate pain management and promoting physical, psychosocial and spiritual well being of the child and their families.

My name is Wasimul Hoda. I am a budding doctor in the field of Onco anesthesia, Pain and Palliative medicine. I have recently completed my studies from All India institute of medical sciences, New Delhi. I am actively involved in cancer pain management and spreading the awareness regarding the need of Palliative care in life threatening conditions amongst common people and medical community.
The video was made on the occasion of world Pediatric Palliative care day during my stay at AIIMS New Delhi as resident. The intension was to spread the awareness related to pediatric palliation and pain management in cancer patients.
