Director Sahaya Riju was born in a quaint village by the Arabian Sea in Kanyakumari and moved to Bangalore at the age of 18 to pursue journalism. He found his love for documentaries and filmmaking soon as he indulged in the course. This is his first documentary project. Sahaya Riju aspires to bring out many such stories in the future in the form of documentaries and feature films.
As I walked on the pristine shores of the Arabian sea, a couple of old men pushing heavy logs of wood into the sea caught my eye. A large vessel afloat in the distant horizon glistened its powerful stature. This transition from logs of wood to 77 feet long fiber boats must have a story. This film is the story of people who witnessed the transition, people who depend upon the transition, and people who still stick to their roots in spite of this massive change.
