PROGRAMS (STAGE PLAY)

Greta, a young Swedish actress, leaves her home and her twin flame, Clara, to pursue stardom, reinventing herself as the glamorous Margo Alba. Fame and success follow, but they come at the cost of the authenticity she left behind. Meanwhile, Clara embarks on a new chapter with Richard, a tech developer tasked with creating an AI replica of Margo Alba, aptly named Margo 2.0.

As Greta, guided by Lil, her ethereal higher self, seeks to reconnect with her true identity, Clara faces her own dilemmas - navigating unresolved feelings for Greta, fascination with Lil, and the unsettling presence of Margo 2.0. Their journeys become a meditation on consciousness, love, and identity, exploring the sovereignty of human consciousness in a world where authentic and manufactured experiences intertwine.

Writer Statement

"Programs" was born out of my deep fascination with the intersections of technology, identity, and humanity. In an age where artificial intelligence continues to shape the way we live, love, and understand ourselves, I felt compelled to explore how these advancements challenge our perceptions of authenticity, consciousness, and connection.

At its heart, "Programs" is a meditation on the human spirit's resilience and its unyielding quest for authenticity in an increasingly artificial world. Through the intertwined journeys of Greta and Clara, I sought to probe existential questions about what defines us as individuals and as relational beings. The metaphysical concepts of twin flames and higher selves allowed me to frame these questions within a universal search for meaning — one that transcends the physical and delves into the emotional and spiritual.

As a playwright and screenwriter, my goal is to create narratives that are both thought-provoking and deeply resonant. With "Programs," I aimed to craft a story that not only entertains but also sparks introspection, challenging audiences to reconsider their own relationship with identity, love, and the digital age.

I believe "Programs" has the potential to resonate across mediums, from the stage to the screen, offering a multi-layered exploration of humanity's evolving relationship with technology. My hope is that this story leaves viewers and readers contemplating the profound complexities of what it means to be real, to love, and to be truly seen.
