East Coast native, Ashley Jade Pietro, was born and raised in the state of New Jersey. She entered The Boston Conservatory under the direction of Yasuko Tokunaga, and graduated in 2014 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography under the new artistic direction of Cathy Young. She has had the privilege of performing featured roles on The Boston Conservatory Mainstage in works by José Limón, Tommy Neblett, Anna Myer, Twyla Tharp, Robert Moses, and Francesca Harper. Upon graduating, Ashley Jade moved to Mazatlán, Mexico where she pursued a company residency with Delfos Danza Contemporanea and performed an original work by company member, Xitlali Piña Poujol. In 2015, she participated in the Maximum Velocity Summer Intensive, in Seattle, Washington, where she worked with Seattle-based choreographer, Zoe Scofield. Ashley Jade’s choreographic works have been presented at The Boston Conservatory, the Mazatlán Professional School of Dance, and as part of the Shooting Gallery Performance Series in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Ashley Jade and her partner, John Ide Moxley, are currently in the process of co-founding art collective, THE JAIDE PLOT, based in Seattle. WEBSITE COMING SOON!
