PRESERVE

Matthew and Anna, recently orphaned, live in their parents'house trying in vain to find an economic and mental stability to get by. Matteo is an aspiring actor, moonlights in the village carpenter's shop and dreams of attending a professional school for actors; but he disregards the sacrifices of his sister Anna who, tired of the oppressive family situation, makes a drastic decision dictated by the need for personal redemption: she runs away from home, taking her brother's savings with her.
