Director Biography - Melissa Knudson Valderrama

My full name is Laura Melissa Knudson Valderrama and I was born on March 6, 1999, in Bogotá, Colombia. My parents, both with the profession of teachers, took care of my education in the most careful way possible. Among several options, I always studied in the workplace of both my mother and my father. The same thing happened to my sister and this got us to have a kind of parallel and concordant education: the one that the teachers gave us and the one that was the responsibility of my parents that, unlike other cases, also came from the teaching nature. Among the books of philosophy of my mother's library and my father's scientific research, the world became a case study. With each anecdote, as unexpected as the previous one, I was becoming more convinced of the magic of telling a good story. Always with a social magnifying glass understanding the great conflicts of such a strange continent. Then, with a baccalaureate degree, there was no doubt about my career or where I should study it.
