PLAY FOR LIFE

At the day centre where they come to get warm and wash, a group of homeless people meets every Tuesday at Ombeline’s theatre workshop. Play for life is the story of their unexpected encounters with “Cyrano de Bergerac” and “Pinocchio”. An extraordinary adventure in which they cast off their suffering, improvise, laugh and at times contribute their own richly emotive texts. It tells how each of them develops, step by small step, over a year of workshops. How they discover the way to find their own voice, to recover their self-confidence, and escape the indignity of life on the streets.
