Director Biography - Danny Rio

Danny Rio is a director, writer, and musician who grew up near Philadelphia, Pa. He's worked on music videos and has released music as well. Danny is making his directorial debut with the dark comedy short film "Played by Record". For his debut short he worked as a one-man crew and was highly passionate to make his first film. He is an artist who loves movies and since he was a kid always one day wanted to make his own. His first short film "Played By Record" has received 7 official selections and won 2 awards. One for excellence in filmmaking and most recent one for best editing. Also received a nomination for Best Writing in a Comedic Short and a nomination for Best comedic short. And not to mention just received an honorable mention from United Artist International Film Festival. Danny plans on making more shorts and wants to direct feature films as well as TV.
