Adam Barnick is a director and an editor.
Adam launched his film career directing the experimental horror film MAINSTREAM in the mid-2000s, which was selected by multiple international film festivals and distributed worldwide via Koch Vision and Fangoria’s "Blood Drive II: America’s Best Short Horror Films" compilation DVD. (Remember DVDs?)
Adam's passion for unique visual storytelling and a desire to create thought-provoking and memorable work has resulted in award-winning short films and music videos, as well as 40 celebrated behind-the-scenes and retrospective documentary featurettes. Films he has directed and/or edited reached over eight million views online in 2022.
As an editor, he has been hired to work on documentaries, film trailers and teasers, corporate and social media ads as well as narrative shorts, recently winning Best Editing for the short film An Honourable Man at the 2022 CineParis Film Festival.
In 2020 he founded Wicked Tree Creative, a post production company providing remote editing services as well as motion graphics, color and audio for online content, TV and films.
On his own, via Wicked Tree, and in a current partnership with Arcana Studios, clients of Adam's have included Village Roadshow Pictures, Starz, Mattel, IFC Midnight, Tubi, Shout! Factory, Glass Eye Pix, A Bigger Boat, Red Shirt Pictures, ArieScope Pictures and Crimson Films.
Outside of film, Adam enjoys the journey with his creative wife, while savouring the memory of New Jersey forest trees clattering in the winter wind.
If you're going through hell, keep going.
