Pilar Ordóñez
(SPAIN), actress, director and writer. I have worked under the orders of directors such as Marsillach, Saura, Berlanga, Trueba, Armendáriz, Garci, among others.
I was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Actors Union Awards in 1996 and 1998 for the films Taxi and Cha, cha, cha, chá, respectively. In 1997 I received the Pavo Real Award for Best Casting/Interpretation for the ONCE spot Ciegas. And in 2018 I was nominated as "Best Actress" for the short film LA ÚLTIMA CITA by David Baquero, at FESTICINI (3rd International Independent Film Festival) of GUARAREMA-SÀO PAULO) Brazil and at the INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF PELIGROS in Granada.
I have worked as an actress in theater, film, television and advertising. As well as television presenter, Master of Ceremonies in different events, and as a Stand Up Comedy comedian.
I directed the musical shows Ellas dan la nota and Jardín en Marte.
I produced, wrote and directed my multidisciplinary project PILATES: 4 Women, 4 Causes -about gender equality-, and I was casting director of the feature film Evelyn, -which addresses the issue of trafficking in women-.
I am the author of the book MISS TUPPER SEX -Aguilar ediciones- and playwright, with plays, sketches and monologues such as: Tengo una familia moderna or the same MISS TUPPER SEX.
In the spring of 2014 I lived in New York where I did a master's degree in English acting with the prestigious teacher Susan Batson -coach of Nicole Kidman and Juliette Binoche-. And I premiered my monologue MISS TUPPER SEX, at the R.A. Theater in Times Square (New York). I then performed it at the Festival de Arte Femenino de Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) and toured Mexico, Argentina and Uruguay. With this show I have done 3 seasons in Madrid and another 3 in Barcelona, as well as different gigs all over Spain. I am currently performing the 6th season of MISS TUPPER SEX at the Teatro Figaro in Madrid, which I combine with sections, as an announcer, in Radio Sant Boi and Radio 3.
I also work as a coach for actors and actresses, directing my own acting training workshop with professionals. In addition, I prepare candidates for the RESAD in Madrid, and I taught "acting in front of the camera" at the ESAD EOLIA in Barcelona.
Currently I have just starred with the film director Miguel Martí in the movie HOTEL COLÓN. With the director Alfonso Albacete the film LA NOVIA DE AMÉRICA. And I have been directing my first feature film called PIEZAS.
I am a member of the acting commission of the Spanish Film Academy and I belong to SGAE and AISGE.
It is a dramatic film with some comedic overtones.
Spanish actress Pilar Ordóñez's first film as a film director.
It is a captivating exploration of the individual experiences of nine stories with a strong social content.
The director delves into the lives of these nine people who face the joys and disappointments of life, with an attitude that is both hopeful and heartbreaking. She intends to denounce nine causes without taking sides, just showing them so that the audience can get closer to these realities.
This project has been made in cooperation with a group of professionals, both artistic and technical, who have put their wisdom and work at the service of this complaint film. We want to show the world that it is also possible to make films without any kind of governmental help.
