PG13 draws directly from my unique experiences growing up in Prince George's County Maryland. A historically black community, on the outskirts of Washington DC., and the wealthiest black community in the US. It represents the diversity we have within our own community and the many issues we face like the underrepresentation of our missing girls, while highlighting the talent and gifts we bring to society, but also how those gifts are exploited and undervalued across many endeavors.
Through PG13, it is my goal to promote the essence of diversity through the on-screen experience-- as well as behind the camera.
