Anson Jew grew up with a fascination with film and storytelling. He spent a lot of his youth making special effects and stop-motion movies on Super-8 film and drawing his own comic book stories. This eventually led to his working as an animator at LucasArts Games and eventually becoming a storyboard artist in film, television and games. Some of his credits include Christopher Robin, Wonder Woman, Scooby-Doo: Mystery Inc., TMNT, Full Throttle and Curse of Monkey Island. After decades of working to help others realize their stories for the screen, he has decided to jump back into the realm of creating his own visions for the screen.
"PET" is a little film that is a tribute not only the special relationship pet owners have with their pets, but also the power of the imagination. As humans, it's natural for us to fill in the blanks even when presented with a limited supply of visual and aural cues. This film celebrates this uniquely human propensity.
