My career started in Kolkata as a project co-ordinator in a small NGO working on Village welfare activities. I was involved in the field of women and child welfare. Thereafter I joined in as an acdemic counsellor in a software company.
In 2007 , I relocated to Andhra Pradesh. Being a postgraduate in Science andholding a B. Ed degree, I initiated my career in school teaching. Alongwith academics I took keen interest in cultural activities especially dance drama and plays. People appreciated the them a lot! Beside being an academic staff I was also made the activity in-charge.
Later, when the edutech companies started, I joined in as a content writer, voice over artist and video presentor for digital acdemic contents. Writing stories on Science topics for primary school kids like The Giant'sGarden, Bina and the Black Witch, Georgina in the Jungle, Mr. Boney Bones and Tommy Teethers, gave me immense satisfaction. I used to direct the animators regarding the backdrop and costume designs of the animated characters, their dialogue presentation and actions. When I saw these stories brought to life through 3D animation, I used to feel so ecstatic.
While doing this work, I got an idea. Instead of making short animation videos why not make films with human characters?
Since my childhood I was passionated about classical Dance, music and drama. I felt film making will give me the opportunity to blend all my passion and skills together to create something beautiful.
Owing to this vision, I completed my diploma in filmmaking.
and started my career in filmmaking.
