PARAMPARA

The 3d animation short film 'Parampara' follows the story of Mimi, a little girl from a village in Purulia, who has always feared the Chhau dance, with its intimidating masks. She was simultaniously haunted by the scary illusions created from them. When she had grown up, one day unfortunately her father, a master of the dance, injures himself during a performance. Thus Mimi feels compelled to continue his legacy. However, she is still chased by those terrifying visions of those Chhau masks. Fighting her inner thoughts with a determined face, as Mimi wears her father's mask, she enters into a delusional dessert. From there, she learns to overcome her fear and understands that the dance is a powefull tradition of strength and resposibility. In a moment of courage, she embraces her father's legacy by performing the dance with grace and power on the stage. Thus, the movie embraces the moral upon how bravery can push idividuals through difficulties to achieve their goal.
