Living for about two decades in a besieged occupied homeland with a split national leadership in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank where democracy is a dead letter, has made the Palestinians, not to mention the disabled, left to a dark destiny. However, this group of disabled Palestinians in the film never miss hope. Their determination to live well is frankly embarrasses the “fake” ability of their political leaderships or normal “inactive” people.
Being touched by them from recycling their own weak wheelchairs to having smooth power transition, from killing the time with sport to utilizing sports for emerging their miserable peers into society, I was keen to share the world their inspiring story.
I've passed through many different people in my life. However, as the time went on filming this movie, I realized that it was the first time for me to meet an actual non-disabled community.
